Movie: Cheech & Chong - Still Smokin (1983)
Werelds meest onbeschaamde komieken gaan op stap in Amsterdam, waar ze natuurlijk meteen met schurken en ander tuig overhoop liggen. Deze keer belanden Cheech en Chong temidden van een filmfestival, waar ze voor niemand minder dan Burt Reynolds en Dolly Parton aangezien worden. Vurige schoonmakers, botanische conditietraining, niets is te gek. Een waanzinnige show besluit hun avontuur waarin ze op onnavolgbare wijze met alles en iedereen de draak steken.

Documentaire: Big Fun in the Big Town (1986)
Documentaire Big fun in the Big Town (1986). Bram van Splunteren neemt de toeschouwer mee naar de New Yorkse rapscene van het eerste uur: een bijna verlegen 18-jarige LL Cool J, Grandmaster Flash, Run DMC en The Last Poets. Zwarte jongelui die nieuwe muzikale paden insloegen en zich weinig tot niets gelegen lieten liggen aan bestaande muzikale tradities. En alles met de aankleding van grote kapsels, nog grotere brillen en (voor huidige begrippen) ondenkbaar strakke broeken.
